DRILLING PROCESS

Phase 1 - Geological Survey

Satellite Image of property

This satellite imagery in conjunction with Field Map Study application is utilised to determine direction of the underground water flow in relation to gradient of the land in order to do an exact cross section measurement of the rock formation and underground water. Additionally, the rock instructions are evaluated from a satellite view as to where the best possible drilling site is on the site. Below is a satellite image determining the above as well as a view of the area surveyed in the front area of the property. Measured at the exact same gradients.

Pre-survey Desktop Study

A desktop study is conducted prior to survey whereby an analysis is completed on the area, satellite imagery is utilized to gain an understanding of the geological and as well as the topography of the area. Existing records of existing borehole on neighboring properties are collected – their locations, depth of water, the amount of water pumped is collected prior to site survey. This information is utilized on site when survey is being conducted.

Survey – Locating suitable groundwater

Utilizing the most advanced global technology we obtain a geological curve graph, which shows a cross-section of the underground topography. This graph shows the various layers of the rock densities and where the water vein is situated. The device sends out electromagnetic pulses and determines the difference in electromagnetic field frequencies, electrical properties, underground mine cavities, cavity rock and ground water. The actual depth of the vein can be determined, which assists the borehole drillers when quoting and drilling the hole. Exploration utilizing technology in combination with traditional divining to optimize drilling point.

Final Report

Once the point of drilling has been identified and clearly marked, we are able to provide you with a report, that can be handed to the driller, which includes the curve graph and a brief summary explaining the point of drilling, and the depth the vein is located.

Utilising both methods simultaneously, the guess work is significantly reduced, and the accurate, scientific report puts the clients mind at ease when deciding to invest in a borehole.

Phase 2 - Drilling

After our groundwater survey has identified the optimal position and depth, our drilling crews mobilise with a clear, data-driven strategy. We use modern rigs and drill precisely to the target zone indicated by the underground imagery, avoiding unnecessary metres and controlling costs. Once the required depth is reached we install the appropriate casing to protect the borehole structure and safeguard water quality. The entire operation is carried out by our own experienced teams, who remain fully responsible for safety, quality and the successful completion of the hole.

Phase 3 - Yield Testing

As soon as drilling is finished we conduct a professional yield test. Controlled pumping is carried out over a measured period while we record flow rates and water-level recovery. This tells us the sustainable volume of water the borehole can produce day after day without depleting the aquifer. Yield testing removes guesswork, confirms the borehole is viable, and provides the accurate data needed before any investment is made in pumps or treatment systems.

Phase 4 - Water Quality Testing

A good yield alone is not enough. We arrange laboratory analysis of the water to examine its chemical, physical and biological characteristics. The results identify any parameters that require attention — such as iron, manganese, hardness, turbidity or microbial content — and confirm whether the water is suitable for domestic, commercial or agricultural use. This laboratory data forms the foundation for designing the correct treatment solution from the start.

Phase 5 - Filtration and Treatment

Using the laboratory results we design, supply and install a filtration and treatment system matched to both the water chemistry and the borehole’s sustainable yield. Solutions may include sediment filtration, iron and manganese removal, disinfection, softening or other specialised processes as required. The system is correctly sized for your household or building demand, commissioned by our team, and delivers clean, safe water ready for connection into your home or building.
